“Have enough courage to trust love one more time and always one more time.” Maya Angelou
How it works.
You have done the first step by identifying you need support. Counselling can be a challenging process and I can appreciate that.
Due to these unprecedented times, I am happy to see clients online. We can start with an initial assessment to see if we are the right fit and it is also an opportunity for us to experience what it’s like to work together.
Short-term couple counselling.
Emotionally Focused Therapy is an empirically based and cutting-edge approach to relationship counselling.
It is short term and highly structured counselling session. You don’t have to unpack you’re entire relationship or childhood to get to the root of the problem.
Research shows 70-75% of couples journey from relationship distress to repair and recovery. 90% show significant improvement in their relationship. Recovery is stable and lasting with little evidence of relapse or distress.
To understand a bit more about this approach to couple’s therapy, read my blog here.
But I am not sure if I want the marriage but my spouse/partner does.
Can I come in and talk about my relationship without my spouse/partner?
Sure you can! Absolutely. Sometimes we need someone to talk to who doesn’t know us or our background. So you can get a different perspective on things and to be able to decide better. And just space to vent. That certainly helps.
Duration of the sessions.
Couple counselling and individual session are 50 minutes long and scheduled weekly.
Discernment counselling is 2-hours for the first session. Scheduled weekly if you want another session.
Individual counselling (online) is £80 a session
